Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

You can use the Service without an account. We collect only the information described below.

1.1 Information you give us

• Study-plan requests. When you ask for a study plan, the form collects your name and email address, your exam date (or that it is not booked yet), whether it is your first attempt, your country and how much time you can study. You can also add your weak areas, your latest practice score and a note. We use this to prepare your study plan and email it to you.
• Free 1:1 study session requests. The request form collects your email address and your exam, and, if you give them, your first name, your exam date, what is holding you back, your preferred days or times and your time zone. We use them only to arrange the session and to email you about it, and we delete a request when you ask us to.
• Error reports. When you report an error in a question, we receive the question's reference, your message and the address of the page you were on.
• Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write.

1.2 Data stored in your browser

Your practice progress, your answers, your practice-exam attempts, your score reports and your study plan are saved in your browser's local storage, on your own device. Your answers are not sent to our servers. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

1.3 Practice-exam activity

When you start or finish a full-length practice exam, the Service sends our team a short notice: which exam it was and, when you finish, your score, how many questions you answered and how long you took. The notice does not contain your name, your email address or your answers, and it is not linked to you. It includes the country your connection comes from, as reported by our hosting provider.

1.4 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Service, our hosting provider may record standard server log information, including:

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Pages visited
• Referring website address
• Date and time of access

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors. The study-plan form, the study session request, error reports and practice-exam notices use your IP address to limit repeated submissions; it is not saved with them.

1.5 Anonymous usage counts

We also count, without cookies or any identifier stored in your browser, which features are used: for example that a practice set, mini test or practice exam was started or finished, that a study plan was created, and which group of pages was viewed. To count visitors once a day, our server combines your IP address and browser type with a random value that is deleted after 48 hours and keeps only the result inside a daily count, so it cannot be traced back to you or linked across days. Your IP address and browser type are not stored. Only daily totals are kept, for 90 days.

2. How we use information

• To prepare and send the study plan you asked for, and to reply to your messages
• To arrange a free 1:1 study session you ask for
• To check and correct questions that are reported
• To keep the Service running and protect it from abuse
• To understand which pages and practice exams are used, so that we can improve the Service

3. Cookies and browser storage

The Service does not use cookies for tracking or advertising.

It uses your browser's local storage to save your progress and results on your device, as described in section 1.2. Clearing your browser's site data for this site removes them.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run the Service:

• Vercel, which hosts the site, keeps the server logs described in section 1.4 and provides the analytics described there
• Resend, an email delivery provider, which delivers study-plan requests to our team inbox
• Telegram, a messaging service, through which our team receives study-plan requests, study session requests, error reports and the practice-exam notices described in section 1.3
• Upstash, a database provider, which stores the daily usage counts described in section 1.5

Fonts are served from our own domain, not from a third-party font service.

Payments. Paid plans are not on sale yet, and the Service takes no payments. When plans open, payments will be handled by a payment processor, and this policy will be updated before then.

5. Data retention

Data in your browser stays there until you clear your browser's site data, close a private browsing window or reset your browser.

The daily usage counts described in section 1.5 are deleted after 90 days.

Study-plan requests, study session requests, error reports and emails are kept in our team's records so that we can answer you and correct the questions. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

6. Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect the Service and the information you send us. The site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts data in transit.

7. Children's privacy

NursePracticeTest does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The Service is intended for people preparing for the NCLEX-RN examination. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8. Your choices

• Clear your saved progress and results by clearing your browser's site data for this site
• Use a private browsing window for sessions you do not want to keep
• Ask us what we hold from your study-plan request, error reports or emails, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@nursepracticetest.com

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
