About
About NursePracticeTest (Nurse Practice Test)
NursePracticeTest, also written Nurse Practice Test, is an independent nurse practice test site: full-length practice exams for the TEAS and HESI A2 nursing school entrance exams and for the NCLEX-RN, with an explanation for every answer.
What NursePracticeTest is
NursePracticeTest (Nurse Practice Test) is an independent practice site for the exams on the way to a nursing license: the ATI TEAS and the HESI A2, the entrance exams nursing programs ask applicants to take, and the NCLEX-RN, the licensure exam for registered nurses. It offers full-length practice exams and practice questions on a screen laid out like each real exam, with an explanation for every answer.
The site is for students applying to nursing school and for nursing graduates preparing for the NCLEX-RN, whether it is a first attempt or a retake.
What you can practice
- TEAS practice test: a full-length practice exam in ATI's four separately timed sections, scored by section and content area.
- HESI A2 practice test: a full-length practice exam in which you take the sections your school requires, with a score for each.
- NCLEX-RN practice questions and full-length NCLEX-RN practice exams: adaptive, like the real exam, at 85 to 150 questions with 3 unfolding case studies on a 5-hour clock, followed by a practice estimate and a score report by client-need area and question type.
- All 16 NCLEX question types: short sets of 5 questions for each Next Generation NCLEX format, from multiple choice and SATA to bow-tie and trend questions.
- Case studies: six questions about one client, one for each step of the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model.
- Dosage calculation: the formulas, a worked example and a practice set for each skill.
Every NCLEX-RN question is scored with the rule NCSBN publishes for its format (0/1, +/- or rationale scoring), including partial credit.

NCLEX-RN facts were last checked in September 2026, and the site was last updated on October 13, 2026. Facts about the TEAS and the HESI A2 come from named schools' own pages, each linked on the page that uses it. Each practice question also lists the sources its facts rest on, under the rationale.
Editorial standards
- Every NCLEX-RN practice question follows the 2026 NCLEX-RN Test Plan and is scored with the rule NCSBN publishes for its format. TEAS questions follow the content areas of the TEAS 7, and HESI A2 questions the subjects schools list for the exam.
- Clinical facts rest on public, authoritative sources, such as the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and FDA drug labels on DailyMed. Each question lists its sources under the rationale.
- NCLEX-RN facts are checked against NCSBN's own publications, and TEAS and HESI A2 facts against named schools' pages; rules that each school sets are labelled as such, with the school named.
- Confirmed errors are corrected, and the page's review date is updated.
